Bad feelings

I don't know what's wrong with me today.

My cat woke me up at around 4 AM, and I wasn't able to get much more sleep between then and when my alarm clock went off at 8. Shortly after she woke me up, I heard a weird noise that scared me a bit (it was 4 AM and I was half asleep!). And it just kept getting worse. I didn't hear any more noises, but I just kept feeling scared/nervous/anxious. To the point where I could actually feel it in my stomach. Like, my stomach wasn't hurting like it normal would, I was just feeling a nervousness in my stomach. Does that make sense? I don't know how to explain it.

So, now I have to start getting ready for work, but I'm still feeling quite anxious, and now the stomach weirdness has turned into nauseousness.

This is not going to be a good day.

Book Project

I started doing this in December, but I just randomly decided to post about it now.

For Christmas, or my birthday (they are only a week apart, and I can never remember which gifts I get for which) I got a Kindle from my father. It was a total surprise gift. I had never mentioned wanting one, or even talked about it at all. It wasn't something I thought I wanted (although I do love to read). It was definitely a pleasant surprise when I opened the box, though! Two months later, I am completely in love with it. And there are SO many books for it for free on amazon.com.

So, with my new toy, I have been reading quite a bit more, and have decided to do this little project. I'm simply going to see how many books I can read in one year. I haven't given myself a goal number (I know some people do, like, 100 books in a year), I'm just going to see how many I can get in. My only rules are that I have to find time to read a little bit every single day, even if it's just a few pages, and that I have to finish every book that I start. I'm also trying to only read books that seem to interest me (based off title, short summaries and reviews- to make it easier to keep the "finish every book I start" rule), and I am trying to read books I've never read before, or at least ones I haven't read in many years.

I started in mid December, so I'm about 2 months in now, and I've read 9 and a half books. When December comes around, I will post my final book count, and a list of all the books I've read. Maybe I'll even do super short, one line reviews. Just a "how I liked it, would I recommend it" type thing.

I'm not going to, like, stop reading in December, though! Just going to stop this project. If I enjoy it, I may start another one next year. So far, I am really enjoying it.

Happy reading, everyone!
